You pick the move.
codj plays it on the beat.

codj is a DJ system in the terminal, driven by vim keys. A real transition moves several controls at once: faders, EQ, filters, the cue of the next track. With a keyboard you can turn one knob at a time. So the DJ gives the order in two keystrokes, and codj runs every control in time with the music.

Jungle Classics → Last Night

Both tracks play for 8 bars. Halfway through, on a bar line, the low end changes hands, so two basslines never fight.

Last Night → Komplete Kontrol

A long 12-bar blend. Highs, mids and lows hand over one band at a time, and the new track's drop lands on the bass swap.

Komplete Kontrol → Buchatek

No blend at all: on the downbeat, straight into the next track's hottest part.

filter blend8tf
Buchatek → Better Half

The new track rises out of a filter while the old one sinks into one, as if they swap places in the room.

Back Again (Aasi High Pitch Remix) → hector sector

Added to the set while it was playing: a hard cut into hector sector, tempo-matched from 142 to 155 BPM.

bass swap8ts
hector sector → Menfils

After 16 bars of hector sector, the bass hands back to Menfils and the set carries on.

All six clips are from one 15-minute recorded set: 27 tracks, every one played only around its strongest section. Each incoming track is cued so that section lands where the mix needs it, not from minute zero. The set is plain text you edit in vim, and it can be rewritten while it plays.
